I cann’t eggsplane by Peggy Reavey

Cornelius Projects presents a survey exhibition of paintings by long-time San Pedro resident Peggy Reavey, dating from 1967 through the present. I Cann’t Eggsplane is a celebration of a life shaped by the drive to create beautiful things. Reavey is a figurative artist whose works often revolve around the quiet storms of domestic life: simple tasks gone dreadfully wrong; small acts of cruelty and the wounds they leave; haunting childhood memories that refuse to fade. At turns surreal, tender and caustic, her work has a wide emotional range and is oddly evocative of Mexican retables. The show is curated by Kristine McKenna.

A reception for the artist will be held on Oct. 10 from 6-9PM. The show runs through Nov. 21. Cornelius Projects is located at 1417 S. Pacific Ave., San Pedro. For more information click here.
