California artist, Mike Rivero, born in Cuba, 1959, Mike Rivero’s interest in painting was evident quite early. At 11 years of age his family left Cuba and lived for the next five years in Madrid, Spain. Essentially a self-taught artist, Mike’s painting has been influenced by the likes of Picasso and Martano Rodriguez. He has studied privately with California impressionist painter Michael Dancer and California expressionist painter Neil Nagy.
Mike’s colorful and exuberant approach to modern art has been very well received and his paintings are now a part of many private collections in the United States and Europe.
